Robin's Family!
Robin's Dad - Mr A.B.N.Gill.
Well - my dad what can I say? I shouldn't really say how old he is but
he is 50 on the 1st January 2000!
When he was a kid (if you can believe parents ever were) he went to Barnard
Castle School in Co.Durham. He lived on the same farm we do now, and the
buisiness was run by his dad. He went to Cambridge at a early age to read
Zoology (I think) If you should ever meet him - don't ask him about all
this 'cos he'll never shut up.
The next bit of his life is as I remember it!
He went to Africa where he used to teach Science and met my Mum.
When the came back here, he took over his Dad's farm.
After a bit he started doing a bit of work for the National Farmers Union.
Many years later, he is now the President, and has had quite a high
profile recently with the BSE scandal, and has been on the box lots!! For
some reason, the University of Leeds love him, because he is an honary
Professor and Doctor.
Last year he was awarded a CBE, for services to Agriculure. (If you email
me I'll tell you the real reason!!)
W.N.Gill & Son
When I get round to it I'll be writing lots more here on W.N. Gill &
Son - his company and farm.
Basically it is a xxx acre farm (350 I think) of mixed crops. We also breed
sheep, and if the winter have store cattle. The buisiness does quite a
lot of contract farm work, from baling to combining.
The farm has ~2000 tonnes of grain storage, including a corn drier and
a Weighbridge, run by a computer system that I designed.

Robin's Mum - Mrs C. Gill
Well my Mum is a wunderful person, she is 22 years old, and knows everything
that there is to know about anything. She is also a wunderful driver, but
very set in her ways!
She works pretty much as a full time housewife, which was pretty busy considering
there were four of us! Recently, with two of us at uni she does lots of
gardening.
More to be Added
Country Garden Plants
My Mum's little business, selling home grown plants, cheap and too a
very high standard! When the weather is right, (and the demand) she works
on the Monday Market at Thirsk, North Yorkshire, and the Thursday Market
at Tadcaster. Boy does she come home with some rite funny stories!
If you would like a free catalogue, just mail
me your home address. (Sorry, UK only)

Little Bro Ol.
Well actually he's bigger than me!
Ol is 16, but nearly 17 which means - all other drivers beware !
He is in the Lower Sixth at St. Peters School in York, he might be studing
History, Maths, Economics and General Studies 'A' level.
He is really into music, he used to sing, play saxophone and piano, but
recently has concentrated on electric and acoustic guitar, and plays in
a band whose name I forget. Ol claims the are quite good.
I think his tastes include Oasis and Silver Sun, who I also think are quite
good and should do better than they do.
Oliver drinks too much beer for someone his age and is a York City supporter.
He is very good at creating arguments too, but can be all right if he's
in a good mood.

Robin's Pets!
Well, a quick word about our pets;
Jake - Our Golden Labrador, he is extremely clever, well behaved in the
house, but as soon as he gets outside he's a nightmare!
Bertie - Our Black Labrador. He is a couple of years younger than Jake,
and demands all the attention. He is perfect outside, but in the house he
turns the house upside down!
Tip + Lad - Our sheep dogs. Lad was professionally trained, but if he sees
sheep he hides under the tractors! Tip might bite if you're not nice to
him, but he's a sweetie at heart! You should see them run. Linford Christie
eat your heart out.
Sukhoi, Scaredy & family. We have about seven cats who live out side,
they originated from a stray many years ago. Some are tame - but not all!
At one point we had over 40 cats!
Spot - A black labrador / collie (with a white spot), who is owned by John,
who works for my Dad. Spot spends most of her day on the farm.
Jerry - Our friendly sheep. He loves chocolate digestive biscuits, and yes,
he can talk to you! (Baa)
I'll get some piccies soon!
